The Flame of Hope
Hello my dear ones, this poem I wrote myself is meant to bring you light and warmth, and to send a comforting shiver down your spine, revealing to you the other side of Halloween.
When autumn leaves gently touch you in the whispering breeze,
you can feel your departed loved ones deep within your heart!
When a bird cries out into a particularly dark night,
it may be that your departed loved one is watching over you with loving care!
The stars in the heavens, so wise, so bright and clear,
know exactly how beautiful your life with your loved ones once was!
They give you hope in the darkest night,
so that your grieving heart may shine once more.
The moon above also shines directly into your heart,
for it truly shares your sorrow and your pain.
It whispers: “Do not lose hope, for tonight is that special night
when all that has died comes to life once again!”
So take a little light and kindle its flame—
it is so simple and so easily done!
The candle’s flame speaks only to you tonight,
offering you hope, dear soul, believe me!
Its light brings warmth and reaches deep within you—
so be certain now: you are never alone!
Your dearest loved ones are with you forever and always;
they are here in every gentle breeze and in every shooting star!
They reveal themselves not only on this special night,
but in every single moment of your life—whenever you think of them.
Happiness is so simple and often closer than we believe—
if we remain steadfast in our faith, our future will be wonderful!
The carved pumpkin faces, so eerie yet so beautiful,
show us not only at Halloween that this path is worth walking!
We need not fear our final hour;
with this certainty in our hearts, life becomes whole once more.
All human souls are connected to one another—
if only everyone knew this, no one would ever deliberately hurt another!
Our hearts are all-knowing and understand far more than our minds;
the candle in our lantern has almost burned away.
Yet the darkness that is soon to come no longer fills us with sorrow,
for true light springs directly from our hearts.
Thus light will always triumph over darkness—
of this you may be certain, dear people!
The night draws to its close, morning awakens,
and the candlelight gently fades away at last.
With gratitude and love we begin the new day,
holding in our hearts the certainty that it will bring only beautiful things.
Wishing you all a wonderful Halloween!
